2013 Nissan 200sx
What he said^^^, BUT...Nissan Japan is not afraid to use number series for new Nissans, as evident with the 350 and 370Z. The 200SX was actually the number designation for a variation of S13 in Japan, as was the 180SX. Nissan is very aware of the fan base for the S-chassis, and it's very possible they are planning to coin in on that opportunity. I think (and hope) that the article is the journalist's speculation, because the number designation has ALWAYS corresponded to the powerplant. I wouldn't mind if a hybrid or electric option was offered, but the primary powerplant had better be a 2-liter engine. The tech to make a peppy 2.0 DOHC NA with great power figures and good mileage is available now, so it should be a no-brainer for the execs. Don't tell me it should be boosted, because I doubt that will happen. If Nissan didn't bother to boost the Z, then it certainly won't do so to a 200SX. They've left such tricks solely for the GT-R.
But they did in fact boost the MR16DET, the 1.6 in the juke with 190bhp. That could be an option. Maybe a new engine in the MR series. Boosted low-displacement engines is somewhat the future, because you can get the low mpg figures, thus lower the sales price in a lot of countries. Nissan is not bmw, audi or lexus, they need to take price into consideration as well in order to compete in the cheaper sportscar market.

USEF says "Impulsion is the term used to describe the transmission of an eager and energetic, yet controlled propulsive energy generated from the hindquarters into the athletic movement of the horse.". How cool is that? Impulsion build here
